SERVICES OVERVIEW — WHAT WE OFFER

Falls Prevention & Elderly Rehabilitation Services

Falls prevention and elderly rehabilitation supports older adults with balance, strength, mobility and general frailty, aiming to reduce falls risk and support independence. Because safely assessing balance and gait matters so much here, we recommend starting with an in-person assessment at our UK clinic. Once that's in place, ongoing support for lower-risk elements, like supported exercise and progress check-ins, can continue online, useful for family members monitoring a relative's progress from a distance, or for maintaining a routine between in-clinic visits.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

No, you can self-refer directly, or a family member can arrange an assessment on someone's behalf. A GP or hospital referral is not required.

Your physiotherapist assesses balance, strength, gait and any relevant medical or falls history, and discusses any mobility aids currently in use, to build a picture of falls risk and identify areas to work on.

Yes. Walking aid assessment, such as for a stick or frame, is carried out in person, since correct fitting and safe use need to be checked directly.

Yes, family members or carers are welcome and often encouraged to attend, both for in-person sessions and for online sessions, where having someone present adds an extra layer of safety.
